E3D is our online quality system. This system governs processes throughout the entire business and embodies Epic's commitment to Quality and the ISO9001: 2000 standard. We use this system to ensure delivery on time, to budget and at the right quality. In practice, E3D maps projects to the following key stages:

  • project Initiation & Design Requirements Documents ensure orderly start to project.
  • collaborative approach to research, analysis and design.
  • key documents are then delivered at the definition stage.
  • a prototype brings all this together in a tangible product.
  • programming, content creation and site build can then proceed.
  • testing by a separate test team in our Epicentre facility.
  • deployment for installation and testing on servers.
  • approval points allow you full control of your project.

The E3D methodology is further reinforced by implementation of Epic’s quality assurance plan; this outlines the activities that will be undertaken to ensure the quality requirements for your project are met. It covers:

Quality Control Processes
Quality of the work required and its subsequent development and delivery will be managed through organised quality review meetings. A record of these meetings and their outcomes will be kept in the project’s Quality Log document. Comments will be collated and resolved by the Project Manager and approvals of key deliverables will be provided by your project team or delegate.

Standards
All project deliverables produced, including documentation, will conform to the specification and quality criteria set for them. Documentary deliverables, such as the Technical Specification and Design Document, will include outlines of the specific quality criteria to be met and will be version controlled using Epic’s version control policy.

Quality Criteria
will be developed for each of the key deliverables within your project and agreed with you as part of project initiation. The criteria and approach will then be fully documented in the Quality Log and replicated in the Project Initiation Document (PID) signed off by your Project Manager or delegate.
